The April meeting of the Board of Directors is this Sunday at 9:15 AM.  The agenda includes a Nominating Committee report, Finance Committee report, Ritual Committee report, Rabbinic Search Committee report, appointment of an ad-hoc Eruv Committee, and appointment of an ad-hoc Insurance Committee, and other such business as may come before the Board.  All members are welcome to audit the meeting.

rabbinic searchThe Rabbinic Search Committee is pleased to announce that Rabbi Elisha Friedman and his wife, Yamit, will join us for a probeh (rabbinic audition and interview) on the weekend of June 24th to 26th (including Shabbat Bahaalotcha).

We hope that you can join us for as many events as possible, as the rabbinic selection process depends on the input of all our members.

pancakes04On Sunday morning, we start the service at 8:00 AM. 

On June 26th, a congregational breakfast will follow at 9:00 in the Elmer Lippin Social Hall, books 4at which Rabbi Friedman will present a shiur (teach a class) with source sheets. 

This will be followed by an opportunity to ask the Rabbi questions about any topic of interest.

On Saturday, June 25th, Rabbi Elisha Friedman will introduce the Torah reading and deliver the sermon before Mussaf.  The services begin at 9:00 AM.

challotThere will be Kiddush and a Shabbat Morning Dairy Meal (with bread/washing) in the Elmer Lippin Social Hall following the services.

And we return to the Shul for Mincha, Third Meal, and Maariv, all starting at 8:00 PM.

The Rabbinic Search Committee is pleased to announce that it has selected three exceptional candidates for the position of our next rabbi at the Adams Street Shul.

We have scheduled three Probeh (audition) weekends.  Each candidate will join our community with his family for a Friday night, Shabbat morning, and Sunday morning event:

Originally from Houston, TX, Rabbi Daniel Epstein now resides in Queens, NY.  A proud graduate of Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns in New York, Rabbi Epstein holds a BA in political philosophy from Queens College, Queens, NY.  He is currently in his final year of rabbinic studies at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah (YCT) Rabbinical School in Riverdale, NY and is expecting to receive semicha in June, 2016.
